is Maltese really a dialect of Arabic language?

I’m an arabic native speaker, last night, I was working on Project about Italian language while I was reading an article in the net about this language I found out that Maltese is related to Italian so I get curious I wanted to know what kind of languages is Maltese , I wrote down in the google search and God ! I was shocked, How come this is an independent language?! This is merrily a dialect of Arabic!! I’m tunisian and i undersoond 95% of the written maltese that I saw. For arabic speakers, it\’s easier to read gh as \’3\’ like in il-ghasfur (the bird) and x as \’ch\’ like in xemx (the sun).it’s just the same ! I’m really surprised well Arabic and Maltese do have not the same Alphabet not even the same letters but they’re too close really they’re ! because Maltese and Tunisian Arabic ( which is my dialect ) share million of words, it’s really surprising me.

I have a bet that I can learn to say it in 50 languages. So far I have: English (of course), Spanish, French, Dutch, Estonian, Danish, German, Arabic, Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Norweigein, Portugese, Russian, Urdu, Hindi, Nepali, Hungarian, Swahili, Malasian, Italian, Tagalog, Turkish, the language of Guam and American Sign Language. Any others would be greatly appreciated. Please spell them out in the English alphabet if you can help me.
Thanks.
Cailean: Can you give me a good pronunciation please?
Did some of you people not read my whole question and see which ones I already have?

This is for a project I’m working on. I’d like to know how to say "I’m beautiful" in whatever language you might know. Any language will do, but some ones that would be particularly helpful are Italian, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Swahili, or Gaelic. Any other ones I didn’t list are appreciated as well. If the language doesn’t use the roman alphabet, please provide characters as well as romanization, if possible.

PLEASE do not answer, if you just decided to run this through an online translator. I could have done that myself, and wouldn’t have asked, if I didn’t want to know. The bottom line is, they are totally unreliable. Also, people who have taken at least more than a year of whatever language are preferred.

The languages I have already are:

German: Ich bin schön.
Japanese: 私は奇麗
Chinese: 我是美
Korean: 나는 아름다운

In addition to adding new languages, if you could correct if there are any mistakes in the languages I have (or confirm that there are not) it would also be very much appreciated :)
Whoever thumbsed down all the answers, gtfo, noob >.> These are all good answers.

Two math-related riddles?

Ok, I am officially stumped on these. The first is:

(IPA(sh))((35 degrees 51 minutes N, 27 degrees 14 minutes E), x, nil, Stonehenge trilithon)

now, IPA is the International Phonetic Alphabet, and the sh sound in IPA is made by the integral sign. Next, those location coordinates point to Saria Island, a Greek island between the Mediterranean and the Aegean Seas. Nil is obviously zero, and Stonehenge had 5 trilithons when built, today it has 5. That leaves us with the integral of Saria Island of x dx from 0 to 4 or 5. Any ideas what that menas?

Riddle two:

x is an element of Annelida *intersection* Platyhelminthes *intersection* Nematoda.
x is the English translation found in the etymology of Italian Cuisine. Food=??

*intersection* means the intersection symbol used when working with sets. I have no idea for this one. Please help if you can!

I would like these in the english alphabet, because I can’t read foreign text, and characters; also the english pronunciation. I would like the Latin translation the most, if you can’t find the others (but I’ll only give you half the points). You get 10 points, if you can help me. If you can’t find some of them, then you still get 10 points, but try your best to fill this.

Guten Tag Allerseits!! Ich heisse Ken, Ich bin 19 jahre alt. Ich liebe fremdsprachen lernen! Ja, Meine sprache ist sehr komisch, aber es ist sehr einfach!

unfortunately, My italian isn’t up to par with my french and german so stay in there! If you want to learn my language! I’ll have alphabet and pronounciation up on my myspace! as I said before it’s very simple!
yes I do have a life!

I go out saturday nights with friends it’s just so boring working at the library I have nothing else to thing about!
The first paragraph is all "d’ociènnisch"
the second paragraph is what it translates to in french
and the third is its german translation
I would like to learn esperanton someday but now..I like to focus on (French, German, Italian, Creole, Mandarin, and D’ociènnisch)

I am going to buy Rosetta Stone, along with a language (all levels). Today I was over a friends house and he showed me the program. He had Spanish, Japanese, and German.

I’m already taking Spanish in school, and that’s not really interesting. Japanese is easy to say, but I want to learn a language using an English-like like alphabet (I want to write it, too). German was fun, similar to English, pretty easy, but a lot of the words were difficult to pronounce.

What language do you think I would enjoy? French? Italian? Italian sounds really pretty and would be cool… I’m not sure I need help choosing a language, because I’ll be spending a lot of time learning it!!
