Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me…

I have seen people write "Non l’avevo mai sentitO" or "Non l’ho mai sentitO"

AND I’ve seen "Non l’avevo mai sentitA" or "Non l’ho mai sentitA"

Which is correct? sentito or sentita?

Does it depend on whether the speaker is masculine or feminine? If so, I why is "sentire" a verb where gender matters? Usually (or at least in the Passato Prossimo), we only identify the gender of verbs which require "Essere" (for example: Sono andato/a). But for verbs which require "Avere," we never specify gender…and "sentire" is a verb which uses "avere" (i.e. Ho sentito). So, why would we ever use "Non l’avevo mai sentitA" or "Non l’ho mai sentitA?"

By the way…is it correct to say that the English translation of this expression would be "I’ve never heard of that?"

How do you write the verb invitare as an informal command as in this sentence ?

(You (one person)), If you see your friends, invite them.

Giovanni compra la rivista. – John is buying the magazine.
Giovanni la compra. – John is buying it.

Why wouldn’t it be "Giovanni la compro"? Because John is a male, and he is buying the magazine….Why is it comprA?

Can all verbs change like this? For example:

Abita, ama, cercara, balla?
